Plans are underway for the development of an outdoor environmental classroom, pavilion and trail enhancement for a 33-acre conservation easement, known as the James B. and Ann V. Nicholson Nature Center, in Clinton Township (located behind the Public Works offices.) Macomb County is working diligently to obtain grant funding to supplement the generous $150,000 donation from Jim and Ann Nicholson for the nature center, which was dedicated in 2009. It is anticipated that the classroom and pavilion will be ready for the public by Spring 2011.
